Bringing the sexy back...Italian music design from the '60s

(download)

Mmm.  Mmm.  Mmmmm.  Hard to imagine a better way to listen to music.  Just make sure you've got a comfortable chair, because I don't think you'll ever want to leave this alone.

Brionvega, the company behind this Radio-phonograph, have a bunch of other cool products.  You can check them out right here.  Make sure you read the product descriptions while you're visiting- the Italians sure have a way with words.

Here a little excerpt from the Radio-phonograph's product description to show you what I mean:

"Make yourself comfortable and focus: Radio-phonograph rekindles a world made of perfectly balanced spaces and sounds, each unique. Radio-phonograph owners stand out for their singular personality and character, just like the instrument itself.  It’s enough, day after day, to have the certainty of rediscovering it in order to rediscover yourself. The experience with Radio-phonograph is an unexpected encounter, just like the love of your life, requiring not quantity of time but quality of time.

And if you’re trying it for the first time: be aware that you are about to listen, read and observe, touch or better yet graze the chapter of an entirely extraordinary history. Are you ready for this profound experience?"

Profound.  Indeed.

Check out Mission Bicycle Company- a San Francisco-based store spinning out choice bikes custom-designed by you. Yeah that's right- YOU get to make all the decisions about how your new bike looks and is set up, including whether its a fixed gear, free wheel or both. The prices are pretty decent too. If you're the indecisive type, Mission have a whole bunch of pre-designed bikes to choose from too.  Check out the gallery here.

I'm hoping to visit the store on my next San Fran visit at the end of the month. Whether I'll be riding a new bike home is another story...
