Start your own movement!

This is so classic!

It actually reminds me of that Diffusion of Innovations theory I studied in marketing about how new ideas spread through culture.  In this case it's how a dance movement spreads through a music festival!

The topless crazy dancing guy is the Innovator.  The guy in the green T-shirt and the big guy in the black T-shirt are the Early Adopters.  Next come the Early Majority and before long they are followed by the Late Majority.  The lame people that are rocking up to dance after the music has stopped are the Laggards.

Marketing made easy...and really funny.  Now go start your own movement!

Go the 80s!

These cool retro watches are a collaboration between Furni and Raised By Wolves (awesome name!).  I can't decide what colour I like best.  Notice the subtle marketing in the background with the choice of books.  Tipping Point, by the way, is one of my favourite books.

Speaking of wolves did you know...

Roman legend has it that Romulus and Remus, twin sons of Rhea Silvia and Mars, were raised by wolves.  Rhea Silvia was a priestess, and when it was found that she had been pregnant and had had children, the local King Amulius ordered her to be buried alive and for the children to be killed.  The servant who was given the order set them in a basket on the Tiber river instead and the children were taken by Tiberinus, the river god, to the shore where a she-wolf found them and raised them until they were discovered as toddlers by a shepherd named Faustulus.  He and his wife Acca Larentia, who had always wanted a child but never had one, raised the twins, who would later figure prominently in the events leading up to the founding of Rome (named after Romulus, who eventually killed Remus in a fight over whether the city should be founded on the Palatine Hill or the Aventine Hill).

If I was going to be raised by animals I think I would choose elephants.  Ain't no one messing with elephants!

How about you?
